Having purchased two custom-built bikes and countless parts and accessories from The Velo Shop, I can attest to the fact that this shop far and away outperforms all others in the area. Becky, Eric, and Allen run perhaps the most knowledgable, most diversified, and most open-minded bike shops in eastern Pennsylvania. A true racer's shop, The Velo Shop provides an incredible number of brand and fit options, advanced wrenching knowledge, and epic customer service... there is literally no reason to go anywhere else. Road, Track, Tri, Time Trial, 'Cross, Mountain... they do it all!
Despite being over an hour away from my primary location in the Philadelphia region, I still make the drive to The Velo Shop even for routine maintenance and refits, simply due to the dramatic difference from the standard local bike shop.
If you want to ride your bike fast... train hard! If you want to ride a fast bike... go to The Velo Shop!"

Some friends and I made our annual drive from Boston to Trexlertown last October to do some riding in the hills of Eastern PA, and after a brief spill my bike was in need of repair. That is how I found The Velo Shop.
As soon as I walked in, I knew I was in a special place. As my bike was immediately repaired, my eyes feasted on the Felt, Pinarello, BMC and Focus machines and I came across a Colnago that I found interesting. I asked Becky if they had any other Italian bikes in the shop, she told me there was one more: One of Eric’s personal bikes was a Colnago V1-R.
For the next hour or so, Eric showed me his exquisite machine (V1-R Ferrari edition, full Dura Ace and Mavic Cosmic Pro wheelset) and we talked about bikes and lots of other topics. I am not a pro, far from it, but they treated me with respect, answered my questions and made me feel as if I was the most important rider they had seen in a while. Over the course of the next couple of weeks, I stayed in touch with Eric and Becky and ultimately wound up making a long distance purchase of the Colnago.
I went back to Macungie in mid-December to pick up the bike and get fit for the bike. Once again, it was like being with old friends and the fit Becky provided was perfect.
My experience at The Velo Shop was extremely positive and I am convinced that I am not alone in feeling that way. I know that I will make the journey to T-Town at least once a year to see Becky, Eric and the gang and encourage anyone who is headed in that direction to stop in and say hi. Who knows, you may walk out with a new bike.

Whether you want an Italian thoroughbred or a German scalpel, The Velo Shop has you covered. But, the real differentiator of The Velo Shop is that you get the most out of your bike thanks to a professional fit from Becky Quinn. You can't fake experience, and I learned more about proper fit and technique in 3 hours with her than I had in the past 30 years.

The Velo Shop is a special bike shop. Its not your average LBS that has a few models and brands of bikes and tells you which one is best for you. Becky and Eric ask YOU what YOU want out of a bike and narrow down the specific brands/models from there, and trust me there are plenty of bikes to choose from. For me it didn't matter how long the drive was, as long as I felt comfortable and respected, and I got that at The Velo Shop.

The Velo Shop service stands out when compared to any bike shop I've visited. Besides special ordering the mountain bike I truly wanted, Becky shocked me with the great care she gave to my setup. I have a bike that not only satisfies my craving for the unusual, but actually fits perfect.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Becky Quinn and her whole staff at The Velo Shop for their complete knowledge and extreme professionalism. They made sure I purchased the perfect bike for me. Becky took such great pride in the proper and personal bike fit to make my ride the perfect fit for my body. This Felt Z95 is such a joy to ride and comes with no body aches or pains. At 62, I have a renewed passion for biking again. Thank you all for your unequaled expertise, knowledge and support. Especially Becky!

I just picked up my Felt VR3. Not only is the bike perfect for me but the fitting made a huge difference on how comfortable it felt to ride. Becky is a master of her craft!
Also, I'm a BIG guy. For over a year and a half, I couldn't find shoes that fit. Becky took care of that too. Love these folks!

I had The Velo Shop update my husbands Pinarello with Campagnolo EPS. He raves about the excellent job done by The Velo Shop staff. We live an hour away but Becky and company are our "go to" shop.

Becky, Eric and crew are fantastic! No lie, the level of service and the number of brands they carry is worth a drive. In typical N+1 fashion (N=the number of bikes a person currently owns), I'm already thinking about the next one. I learned a lot, confirmed my leanings and made an extremely well informed decisions.

Good evening becky! I've been to numerous bikes shops over the past year and its great to see a place with enough inventory to fit all riders needs and budgets. Im a "touch and feel" kinda guy and i wanted to spend some decent money on something this weekend and you happen to have what i was looking for. If you didnt have the stock you would of lost the sale with me. I understand you put your credit and cash on the line to have all that high expensive inventory and that is something to respect one business owner to another. I love supporting our local businesses where i live..... but when you want something and its not on the shelf. YOU CAN'T SELL IT. YOU understand that!! I'm in sales also and your staffs approach was inviting and knowledgeable and made my experience comfortable and also easy. Thirdly........i have a cannondale supersix used. Very light bike but fast. I wanted something that was comfortable, fast and could pedal any situation. I took it the cervelo C5 out for 30 miles yesterday and wish i had more time on it!! Sooooo smooth and sturdy. And i climbed some steeps ones yesterday and it was a joy! Im thrilled with my choice and that paint scheme is to die for. So unique. Thank you for now making me a repeat customer and hopefully one day we can meet. Wish you were closer. Sure my wife isn't. LOL. Im looking to put new rims on my super six so if i don't get someone from our area tomorrow to at least get me a price....i ll be down this week to get some rims..... thanks again.

For the last 20 years or so of riding I had to deal with knee pain during and after a ride. Long rides would mean an ice pack on my knee for the rest of that day. I figured it was a sign of age and wear and tear from years of riding.
Two weeks ago I bought a new bike at The Velo Shop and Becky spent time fitting it to me. Most of the settings were the same as my old bike, but Becky spent a lot of time with foot position and angle. She saw I was rotating my left knee outward, and this was likely the source of the pain I'd encounter.
Last week I had my first group ride since being fitted. I had taken a year off from biking, so I knew I wasn't in shape and that the gang I was riding with would give me a good workout. The ride was 36 miles in 35 degree weather with just shy of 3000 feet ascent on 3 - 5% grades.
No surprise; I was absolutely exhausted by the finish. What did surprise me was the realization a few hours later that not only didn't my knee bother me during the ride, it didn't hurt afterwards. I didn't dread the thought of going up or down stairs. This was such a turning point for me that I had to write and let you know. And let me tell you, with results like this, the fitting was worth so much more than its price. It definitely was well worth the time and expense. In my case, the fitting was included with the purchase of my bike, but I would have gladly paid for it even if it wasn't, it delivered so much value.

Becky at The Velo Shop along with her staff went above and beyond in fitting our son for his perfect bike including changing the pedals for some that were more 12 year old friendly. I highly recommend this shop and will never purchase from any other bike store in the valley.

After that went in for professional fitting using the latest tech to set bike up for me including cleat placement riding angles and handle bar adjustments. All the while explaining why they mattered. Have to say best service I have ever received in purchasing a bike. Thanks again Eric and Becky! You have put in a bike shop that will put all the others to shame.
